What does the service offer?

Our domestic abuse service offers support to individuals at risk of or living in a domestic abuse situation. This service will provide practical help and advice, and essential support for those who are at risk of homelessness, or who are currently homeless due to domestic abuse. This will include 1:1 sessions with a domestic abuse caseworker where you will be offered advice and guidance around benefits, housing, safety and wellbeing.

Who is this service for?

This service is available to all people identifying as lesbian, gay, bisexual or trans, and anyone falling under the umbrella term of LGB&T* such as queer, intersex, pansexual, gender non-binary or gender fluid, including those questioning their sexual orientation and/or gender identity.

If you are aged 16 and over, and feel like you may be experiencing domestic abuse then this service could help you.

How can the service be accessed?

If you feel you may be experiencing domestic abuse please download and complete a copy of our self-referral form.

If you are a professional working with someone who might benefit from accessing this service, please download and complete a copy of our service to service referral form and the RIC.

All completed referrals should either be sent to or posted to Domestic Abuse Service, FREEPOST RLZG-SLUJ-RXKJ, LGBT Foundation, Number 5 Richmond Street, Manchester M1 3HF

Friday Advice Sessions

We also have advice sessions available every Friday morning between 11am and 2pm. These sessions are delivered by LGBT Foundation and Independent Choices and individuals can find out more about the services we offer and access advice and support from a Domestic Abuse Caseworker or LGBT IDVA (Independent Domestic Abuse Advisor).
